In February InspireMath journeyed to Gomoa Fetteh, Ghana to partner with local district and school officials, and the AceIt Foundation, an NGO providing sports and education support for schools. over the course of the next 10 days, Dr. Matthews observed and taught classrooms, explored key aspects of Ghanaian history and culture and interacted with teachers and leaders culminating in a workshop, "Beyond Excellence: Creating Culturally Responsive Teaching in Mathematics for Ghanaian Children".
